This was so last minute, I only have iphone photos. I'll take better ones next time I make it.
This is great for using up your teeny tiny scraps of fabric you can't bear to throw away.
Iron it first if you're like me and all your scraps are scrunched up in a bag and then cut it into little triangles.
I used my Xyron sticker maker to make them sticker-like - if you haven't got one, use a little glue to stick them down in the next step.
I used a black pen to draw some string on the card and then stuck on the triangles in a jaunty bunting-like fashion.
Told you it was easy. I now have a little stack of these that I can use for any occasion.

{week 2/52} freehand machine embroidery
Here's the finished item for this week's 52 crafts in 52 weeks project. I've talked more about it and the tutorial I followed here.
In other news, I went back to work this week, back still a little sore but I'm doing ok. Can you believe it's the middle of June already? Nearly the longest day of the year. And it's Father's Day this weekend - I haven't made cards yet - here's the one I made last year. I'd better get my thinking hat on - or make the same as last time!

Noticeboard...
I have three things to quickly tell you about today.
1} Did you enjoy the fabulous and inspirational BBC2 series, Mastercrafts? Would you love to see another series? Well tell the BBC as they're not planning to commission another one at the moment. That makes me sad :( Visit the Facebook group or UK Handmade to find out more.
2} This week on Makers Online, Karen is exploring handmade weddings and talking to brides and suppliers for their advice and inspiration on how to have a beautiful handmade wedding. Today, our wedding is featured so pop over to have a read and explore the rest of the site while you're there.
3} My new project is up and running and craft number 1 (of 52 eek!) will be published tomorrow. Any ideas what it might be?

I may be slightly mad but I've started a new project: 52 crafts in 52 weeks.
The first craft will be published later this week so bookmark it now to find out what I try first.

Mini tutorial - pretty centrepiece
If only I'd thought of this before my hen tea party last year - it would also be perfect for country-style wedding receptions.
All you need is a cute vintage tea cup and a few pretty carnations (carnations are perfect for this project as they're all fluffy and poofy).
Chop the stems so they fit snuggly in your teacup, don't forget water, and put in as many as will fit so you get a nice dome shape.
Told you it was easy.

Finished baby quilt...
I managed to finish the quilt in time for the arrival of my nephew. We didn't know if we were getting a nephew or a niece so I was pretty lucky with my colour choices.
I'm really pleased with how it came out - I'm looking forward to making another quilt soon. This time for me so just a bit (a lot) bigger and full of my favourite colours.
