Hope everyone has a nice weekend- I'm currently cleaning and sorting. Spring cleaning in Summer when it's actually sunny for a change. Oh well, best to do these things when the mood takes me otherwise they'll never get done!

A tower, a concert, a birthday and a week in the sun...

So my story starts on Sunday 8th July with a trip in to London with my boyfriend and friends- a trip that I thought I'd organised. Or so they'd all have me believe. Actually they'd been plotting behind my back for 7 months to bring me a special birthday surprise. Tickets for the Justin Timberlake concert happening that very night in the O2 arena (formerly the Millennium dome). All very cunning. Before that however we spent a fun couple of hours on the River Thames admiring the sights of London:






The next morning we jumped on a plane to Bodrum in Turkey. We stayed at the Neilson Seaside hotel in Ortakent which caters for sailing, waterskiing, windsurfing and mountain biking to name but a few activities. I attempted waterskiing and windsurfing but I spent most of the week either sailing with Ben or sunbathing by the pool! We also went horse riding which was lovely.





Whilst we were away it was my birthday so on our return to the UK on the 16th I opened my presents:

Up on the 34th floor of the BT Tower in London for an awards ceremony. Lots of lovely champagne, food and company. And stunning views of London, especially when the floor revolved!

What has everyone else been up to while I was away?

I'm back...

Did you notice I disappeared for a bit? Went to lovely gorgeous hot Turkey for a week. Have lots to tell you all about including: learning to water ski and windsurf (fairly unsuccessfully), my birthday, a big birthday surprise (hint: JT) and more.

Will be back tomorrow with more and photos. Need to rest for a bit first! x

This post from Rhi reminded me that I was tagged by Nush a while ago. I'm not sure I have anything new to say after last time I did this but I'll try!

1. I hate taking off and landing when I fly (in a plane obviously, I don't have supernatural powers) and I have to grab Ben's (or whoever I'm with) hand and squeeze my eyes shut at these moments. Luckily I don't often fly anywhere on my own!


2. When I buy a new song or album I tend to listen to it constantly over and over again 'til I can't bear to listen to it any more. One day I'll learn!


3. I'm a born procrastinator and things like facebook, etsy and flickr will easily distract me from what I'm supposed to be doing


4. I'd love to write a book one day


5. I also want to be self-employed one day


6. I currently love this song


7. Before meeting my boyfriend I'd done nothing vaguely sporty/daredevilish/scary. Since being with him I've jumped out of a plane, learnt to sail, ski and snorkel and ridden a horse. Life was dull before Ben.
