Happy Saturday everyone, and happy World Book Night. 1,000,000 books are being given away today to celebrate and I have 5 copies of my favourite book to give to 5 of you: One Day by David Nicholls.
If you'd like a copy, leave a comment telling me about the book you love the most. The one that makes you laugh, cry and that you just can't put down. The first five will get a literary present in the post so make sure there's a way for me to contact you.
So that I'm not sent bankrupt by postage costs I can only give them to UK-based peeps, sorry!

My favourite book is a disgustingly abused book,"In Story Land" by Elizabeth Harrison. It's a book my grandmother used to read to me when I was small. My grandmother drew in it when she was a young lass, my mother added her drawings and name signings to it and I did the same as a child. It's terribly abused and battered - but is an absolute treasure. x
My book has to be A Fine Balance by Rohinton Mistry-which is why I'm giving it away!
The journey takes you on is simply an adventure that will stay with you for years to come. I'd love to share yours.

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. So sad there is not another novel published by her.
I think my favorite books ever are the His Dark Materials series - they have a wonderful sense of place and the world Pullman creates is genius!
Thats a real toughie. . . when I was little I would have said Mrs Tiggywinkle, then A Summer to Die (Lois Lowry), now I just don't know. There are so many to choose from. :o( Sorry bad answer.
Thank you for all the comments - I will enjoy looking up all the books you love.
Greenweeds - I can't see a way to get hold of you. Could you send me an email? christinenancyevans [at] gmail.com
